LOCATION OF EXAM(S)

*The TENTATIVE locations are listed below. Students should check their email regularly for any updates.

  • The majority of WHS AP tests will take place in the WHS Main Gym.
  • Japanese, Chinese, French, Spanish, and German exams will take place in the Northshore School District Administration Center (3330 Monte Villa Pkwy, Bothell, WA 98011)
  • ALL STUDENTS WITH ACCOMMODATIONS will be taking their exam in the E Building at WHS.
  • Signs will be posted to direct students to the testing area.

AP EXAM WINDOW ATTENDANCE POLICY

  • Parents/guardians do not need to contact the Attendance Office to excuse their student for their student’s AP Exam testing date(s).
  • Parents/guardians should only call or email the Attendance Office if they receive an AutoDialer phone call/email absence notification regarding their testing student’s attendance.

Students will receive an all-day school-related absence on their exam day(s). The Attendance Office has been provided with a list of students to excuse for AP Testing. This will allow students the flexibility to prepare and recover from the exam.

Students should talk to their teachers regarding the work missed on the day of their exam, and are welcome to attend all classes that are outside of their testing window.  If a teacher requests a student to attend class outside of the testing window, the student should honor that request (this could be due to academic progress). Testing students who choose to attend classes on their testing day must sign in and out at the Attendance Office.

ESTIMATED TESTING TIMES

Most exams are approximately 3 ½ hours long. Students with approved accommodations may take longer. Please plan transportation accordingly.

Students that normally ride the bus to school should plan alternate transportation since exam check-in for morning exams starts before the buses arrive at WHS. Additionally, students that normally ride the bus home from school should also plan alternate transportation since exams might not be finished before the buses leave WHS.

Students must remain in the testing room until the end of the timed testing session. Per College Board requirements, students cannot leave the testing environment if they finish early.
