Woodinville High School Theatre Company is excited to present this year’s Winter musical, Les Misérables: School Edition, based on the novel by French poet and novelist Victor Hugo. This celebrated musical cuts to the core of our humanity with its moving portrayal of selfless love, duty, honor, and the revolutionary spirit.
Performances are January 29 - 31 and February 5 - 7, 2026, at 7:00 pm, in the Woodinville High School Theater.

Les Misérables tells Victor Hugo’s uncompromising tale of the struggle between justice, mercy, and redemption in the harsh world of early 19th-century France. Les Misérables is an enthralling story of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, and sacrifice – a timeless testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Featuring one of the greatest scores of all time, with thrilling and beloved songs including “I Dreamed A Dream,” “On My Own,” “Stars," “Bring Him Home,” “One Day More,” “Do You Hear the People Sing,” and many more, this epic and uplifting story has become one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history.
The cast is comprised of 70 of Woodinville High School’s students, from a wide variety of backgrounds – from theatre, to choir, to band, to lacrosse and cross country. The cast includes seniors William Bowker, Torsten Dahlke, Caleb Denver, Marin Dick, Niamh Dobey, Bailey Downing, Jinx Esmaeili, Devin Harwood, Aidan Hussell, Mason Jenks, Juliana Kirby, Brianna Liburdi, Jordan Medd, Dhruv Ojha, David Ruiz, Jelina Strickland, Zion Tawney, Fatou Wadda, and Asher Wheeler. The cast is supported by a pit orchestra from the WHS music department, including seniors Aditi Bhatji, Avery Cherry, Edan Cohen, Gracyn Heide, Olivia Knupp, Brianna Nguyen, Rowan Norland, Isana Ogomori, Caitlyn Sullivan, and Lila White.
The large unit-set is representative of revolutionary era France, giving the setting a sense of the broken, poor and desperate people of France. Many of the technical aspects of the show, including set building, lights and sound, and publicity, are handled by crews of students from the WHS Technical Theatre program. Senior technical theatre students include Lucy Harris (Assistant Student Director and Hair & Make-up), Niamh Dobey (Technical Director and Deck Manager), Torsten Dahlke (Production Coordinator), Ryker Danner (Master Carpenter & House), Niamh Dobey and Piper Need (Paint Heads), Marin Dick and Silas Richardson (Hair and Makeup), and Zion Tawney, and Brianna Liburdi (Publicity)
The show is executive directed and designed by Josh Butchart; Ariona Thompson is the Music Director and Pit Director; Eva Stone is the Choreographer; Keoni Dilay is Assistant Choreographer and Assistant Music Director.
All productions of the Woodinville High School Theater Company are designed, developed, and produced by Katharina Bomers-Muller (Producer), Marsha Stueckle & Karen Severson (Costumes), Stephanie Penoyer (Production Coordinator), Steve Cooper (Lights), and the Woodinville Drama Boosters, led by Jessica Hussell. Additional support is provided by the Northshore Performing Arts Center staff, led by Marc King.
