Senior Awards Night & Cap/Gown/Ticket/Yearbook Distribution - June 6
Thursday, June 6
Seniors report to the Aux Gym at 6:00 p.m.
Ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. in the WHS Main Gym
Senior Awards Night is as a way to honor, recognize, and provide a social environment for the graduating class and their loved ones. The excitement of seeing future graduates acknowledged for their scholarships, picking up their cap and gown for the first time, and smiling as they sign yearbooks and make memories with one another is a highlight. (As some seniors and parents wonder, seniors typically dress well for this event (dress shirts, slacks, dresses, etc.)
June 6 – Initial Cap/Gown/Ticket & Yearbook Distribution: Upon the conclusion of the Senior Awards Night Ceremony (at approximately 8:15 p.m.), refreshments are available, and seniors will head to the Commons to pick up caps, gowns, and/or their yearbooks.* (Medallions will be made available to seniors at the Arena on June 17.) Additionally, seniors pick up 5 complimentary Commencement Ceremony tickets in the Commons while picking up their caps/gowns.
Please note that fines/fees must be cleared or paid for seniors to pick up their items.
Parents and guardians are also then welcome to purchase additional Commencement Ceremony tickets at the Cashier’s and Main Office. Commencement tickets will still be available for $5 each in the Main Office and online through Friday the 14th. Tickets will also be available for purchase with cash or check ONLY at Angel Of The Winds Arena from 5:00-7:15 p.m. on the 17th.
*If a senior is unable to be at Senior Awards Night, a friend or relative can pick up the cap, gown, and 5 complimentary tickets; however, a signed note from the parent/guardian must be provided to Jostens. The individual picking up the items will be required to sign for them, relieving Jostens and WHS of responsibility if they should become lost or misplaced.
Caps and gowns and 5 complimentary tickets not picked up during the Senior Awards Night reception will be available during lunches and after school June 7 or later.
Yearbooks not picked up at Senior Awards Night can be picked up during Beach Day activities on June 12.

Updated September 21: This weekend, the District servers were the subject of a cyber attack. Out of an abundance of caution, we have shut down many systems. At this time, we do not feel that student, family or staff data has been compromised.
We are working with law enforcement and industry experts to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. However, we expect some service disruptions to last into the coming week, including StudentVue and ParentVue.
