PSAT/NMSQT at WHS – Wednesday, October 12

Juniors & Sophomores

In our continued commitment to our students’ college readiness and our ongoing improvement efforts, the annual PSAT/NMSQT exam is scheduled to be administered to all juniors and sophomores at WHS on Wednesday, October 12 with results being available in mid-December.  The PSAT measures critical reading, math problem solving, and writing skills that are important for success in college and in other post-secondary pursuits and is the qualifying test juniors must take to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation scholarship program

  • The exam will be administered on-site during the course of the school day.
  • The $18 fee is due Sept 9 for all juniors and sophomores and will be posted directly to junior/sophomore TouchBase accounts by Wednesday, August 24.

Freshmen & the PSAT/NMSQT: Registration & Payment Deadline Friday, September 9

Freshmen have the option to participate in the PSAT/NMSQT during the on-site October 12 testing window. Freshmen who have paid the $18.00 exam fee and registered online through the Total Registration portal by Friday, September 9 will be registered and have an exam booklet ordered for them. Please note there is no late payment window for freshmen due to College Board ordering deadlines. No exceptions!

Process for requesting PSAT/NMSQT accommodations

Visit the WHS website, Academics, Assessments link at for information regarding PSAT/NMSQT testing accommodations. It is important to note: College Board, the governing body of the PSAT and approves testing accommodations for students on an IEP or 504 Plan, not the Northshore School District. This process can take up to 7 weeks.
