Senior Ava Bettermann’s artwork presented for display in Superintendent Tolley’s office

Congratulations to Senior Ava Bettermann whose artwork was presented for display in Superintendent Tolley’s office alongside Principal Criscione, Art Teacher Matt Fry, her mom, and brother on Thursday, November 17. Ava used Guache and colored pencils to create the semi-realism piece that is mainly based on adaptive daydreaming.

Congratulations were further extended, as Ava has been accepted into SCAD: The Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, where Ava is interested in three majors: Illustration, Sequential Art, and Video Game Design. Ava, who has been enrolled in WHS art courses each year since 9th grade, is currently taking AP Studio Art 2-D Design Portfolio, after taking AP Studio Art Drawing last year as a junior. Ava expressed thanks to Mr. Fry for his instruction and support here at WHS.
