WHS National AP Scholars 2019!

Each August, the College Board releases AP Scholar Award results for students who tested in May of the preceding school year.

WHS is pleased to announce fourteen Class of 2019 alumni: Rees Anderson, Zachary Bachler, Kristina Check, Yung-Hsin Cheng, Het Desai, Alexander Hughes, Colton Jobes, Paul Kim, Avi Mittal, Jacob Morris, Leviticus Rhoden, Bryce Stickley, Jackson Subcleff, and Nate Zubin earned National AP Scholar honors, as well as two students from the Class of 2020: William Heins and Ethan Wu!

National AP Scholar awards are granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. This is an exceptional accomplishment and congratulations are extended to the graduates and their families!

Overall, 266 WHS students who tested in May of 2019 earned AP Scholar Awards from the College Board:

  • 87 AP Scholars: Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams
  • 65 AP Scholars with Honor: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams
  • 98 AP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams
