Eligibility

Attendance at Woodinville High School is based on living within our service area.

• To determine your child's attendance area, which is based on your home address, enter your student's grade and address into VersaTrans eLink or call the Transportation Department at 425.408.7900.
• School service area maps are online.

If it is determined your student is eligible to attend WHS, continue to:

• "Step 2A - Enroll" below (June 1, 2023 thru Aug 24, 2023) OR
• "Step 2B - Enroll" below (Aug 25, 2023 thru May 31, 2024)

Waivers

If it is determined your student lives in a different service area, in-district or out-of-district, please refer to the information regarding waivers and waiver forms found on the District website.

The WHS counseling office is closed the month of July 2023 and will re-open on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

A New Student Orientation will be held with the counselors for summer move in students on Thursday, August 24, 9 a.m. at the WHS Library to schedule classes. A preliminary student schedule will be made available near the start of the school year.

Please note, all required registration paperwork and documents outlined in the steps below must be submitted ahead of time, as outlined below, in order for a student to be scheduled for classes at the New Student Counselors Orientation.

Students new to the WHS service area OR former NSD/WHS students OR from private school, home school, or other outside enrollment, must:

1. Confirm eligibility
2. Submit the WHS Preliminary Enrollment Questionnaire
3. Follow the required online enrollment process

• Proof of age for the student - Provide a copy of birth certificate or passport
• Proof of residency living in our service area - Provide a copy of a current utility bill or current signed rental agreement
• Immunization records - 1) Provide a copy from your health care provider. 2) Provide the Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) form*, with parent signature in both places at the top of the form. See the district page on required vaccines.

*For children who have been vaccinated in Washington state, you may register your child at https://wa.myir.net/rorl to receive a .pdf of your child's Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) form. This printout will include vaccinations that were entered in the Washington state system.

• Academic history - Provide either an unofficial transcript, report cards, and current class schedule. A withdraw slip showing exit grades will need to be provided if transferring during the school year. You will need to provide an official sealed transcript in order to transfer high school credit previously earned.

Waivers
 

• Students new to the WHS service area OR former NSD/WHS Students OR from private school, home school, or other outside enrollment* must:

As part of the online enrollment process you will need to provide the following in order to register:

Fall 2023-24
NEW STUDENT COUNSELORS ORIENTATION/REGISTRATION:

Thurs., August 24, 2023, 9 a.m., WHS Library

Students new to the WHS service area who miss the spring registration window, as well as those who move into the WHS service area during the summer, will be contacted to meet with counselors to participate in the New Student Counselors Orientation/Registration on Thursday, August 24, 2023, 9 a.m. at the WHS Library.

1. The New Student Counselors Orientation/Registration is not for incoming freshmen who have rolled up from Timbercrest MS or Leota MS.
    
2. For those NEW to WHS, please be sure you have completed online enrollment. The online enrollment process must be FULLY completed in order to meet with the counselor at the August New Student Counselors Orientation/Registration.

The Advanced Placement™(AP) program at Woodinville High School is a cooperative educational program created by the College Board that offers college-level curricula, examinations, and possible college credit while students pursue their education at a high school known for academic and extra-curricular excellence and accommodating and meeting the needs of its students.

Each Career and College Readiness course meets occupational education credit requirements.

Career & College Readiness Program

Currently enrolled Part-Time Private School or Part-Time Home School students in grades 9, 10, or 11 that are returning for the 2023-24 school year must provide the following required forms to start the course registration process. (These forms must be returned for each school year.)

Students must be eligible and live in the WHS service area. 

Part-Time Private School:

1. Request for Part-Time Attendance or Ancillary Services District (Form 3114-2 )
   • View the 2023-24 Course Catalog (available February 10, 2023) to complete the course requested information
2. Non-Woodinville High School Diploma Acknowledgement
3. Proof of Residency
   • Provide a copy of a current utility bill or current signed rental agreement

Part-Time Home School:

1. Declaration of Home-Based Intent (Form 3114) 
2. Request for Part-Time Attendance or Ancillary Services District (Form 3114-2 )
   • View the 2023-24 Course Catalog (available February 10, 2023) to complete the course requested information
3. Non-Woodinville High School Diploma Acknowledgement
4. Proof of Residency
   • Provide a copy of a current utility bill or current signed rental agreement

Return the fully completed and signed forms and proof of residency to:

• Forms may also be brought to Mrs. Diaz in the Counseling Office.

Not returning for the 2023-24 school year?

Currently enrolled Part-Time Private School and Part-Time Home School students not planning to attend WHS for the 2023-24 school year must submit a parent/guardian-requested WHS School Pre-Withdraw Form.

Parents/Guardians, please reach out to Student Information Specialist/Registrar Jenn Diaz at jdiaz@nsd.org to request the form. Mrs. Diaz will then be able to support the withdrawal process.
