It’s that time of the year again—the WHS Student Leadership is organizing the WHS Annual Holiday Food Drive! Last year, WHS students and staff collected and donated an incredible 14,000 pounds of non-perishable food, and this year we are of course looking to beat this record!
- Students can drop off their donations in their 3rd period classrooms from Monday, November 26th through Friday, December 14th.
- We would like to donate nutritious non-perishable foods, such as canned soups, pasta, and cereal, but we will not accept foods that are high in salt and/or sugar, such as Top Ramen and juice boxes.
- Students can earn Honor Society hours for their donations (1 hour for every 20 items, with a maximum of 2 hours) by filling out the half-sheet located next to the donation bin in their 3rd period classroom.
We are very excited to be donating our food to the local Maltby Food Bank this year, so that we can directly give to families in our very own community. Thank you for helping us help those in need this holiday season.
