WHS Bus Information

Please note that students are routed and assigned to buses at a single stop location based on the address they have registered at their school. Waiver students, walkers and students destined to alternate locations other than than their primary home address, e.g. daycare, split household, grandparents, are not eligible for transportation.

Students may inquire about available space on a bus by completing a Transportation Request Form. Completion of forms does not guarantee a bus ride or change in stop location.

Load counts on buses can not be assessed until all eligible riders have had the opportunity to ride their bus. Due to various programs starting in October it is necessary to wait to evaluate available seats. Student enrollment has also increased which puts school buses at or close to capacity.
If students would like to ride a different bus or get off at a different stop other than what is assigned to them, the Main Office needs a physical form (note from parents/guardians or an email whsoffice@nsd.org) to issue them a Daily Bus Pass.
- Please note that bus passes cannot be written on Wednesdays due to buses being at maximum capacity.
On the form please include the following information:
- Students first and last name
- Bus stop location
- Bus number
- Date
- If riding the bus with a friend, the friend's first and last name

Regular Route Bus Passes

After Transportation confirms routes at the end of October, regular route bus passes are available from the Main Office if there is room on the desired bus.

If there is room on the bus, the Main Office must be provided with a parent / guardian signed note. Notes can be turned in before school, during Options, or lunches and must include the information provided below.

Requests cannot be taken over the phone or by email.

Date pass is to be effective
First and last name of your student
First and last name of the student with whom your child is going home
Address where your student is disembarking the bus (established stop) - please visit the NSD transportation website to determine the established stop.
Indicate duration (today only, or a specific period of dates)
Parent signature
Open dated passes are not allowed.

If approved, a blue bus pass will be issued to the student by the Main Office that the student must hand to the driver when boarding the bus.

Activity Bus Passes & Routes

NSD will NOT be providing an after school activity bus from Woodinville High School for the 2024-25 school year.
